Rusty, why do you need insurance?
Hi
Ernest,
The current planes are
paid for, so I'm strictly speaking about
liability.
The number one reason is
that I have to carry the insurance to satisfy my hanger lease. While
there's a chance I could get around the lease, I have a really nice hanger
setup, and in fact haven't paid a dime for it in the past year, so I'm not going
to rock the boat.
The other reason is
that I want liability coverage, since I can't control what gets damaged in
the event of an in-flight problem. There are plenty of planes parked
along the side of our runway, and one ground loop could easily get into a
couple of those. My personal preference is to make sure
I'm covered.
Off to work on the
scanners now that everyone is finishing their patients for the day. Kind
of the opposite of "time to make the donuts" :-)
