I think the 3 rotor
won’t be any different. My guess is that the CAS still only sends 2
signals per rev, and each coil will still only send 1 signal per rev.

Of course you're right about
the coil trigger only sending 1 pulse per rev. What was I
thinking... I haven't looked into CAS pulses at all, so I remain
blissfully ignorant of what comes out of there
