Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: MSD
Injectors
I just received my latest pair of
MSD-2013 injectors. Interestingly, the number that's labeled on the
injectors is different from the ones that I'm currently using. Internet searches
don't really say what's up with these numbers, but at least there's hope that
this set will flow a little closer to 525 cc/min.
Old number (currently installed)-
8132 17104487
New number (just received)-
6253 17113738
If you have these injectors (Al,
David, ???) can you look at yours to see what the number is? Obviously,
this isn't worth disassembling anything to get to, but if it's readily
accessible, I'd be interested, particularly for Al's injectors, since he's
actually running with them. The number is written on the end of the fat
part of the injector, on the same end as the plug.
Rusty;
Mine are a couple of years old and are
numbered – 4170 171004487.
Same number; different prefix. My
guess is these number are some sort of manufacturing batch and/or sequence
number, and have nothing to do with flow rate, and any 2013 injector should
give the same flow.
