Ken,
No problems, sorry I couldn't do it sooner!

George,
Thanks for a great post.  This is the first time I have seen the REAL (measured) weight of the RX8 rotor.  I have seen 8.2 and 8.7 lbs in print several times - proves you can't believe everything you read!

Rusty,
Here's some very accurate weights for your records-
Apex corner seals x6 = 19grams
Apex corner seal springs x 6 = 1 gram
Side seal springs x6 =1 gram
Side seals x6 = 25grams
Oil seal springs x4 = 10 grams
Oil seal retainers( metal) x4 = 92 grams
Oil 'O' rings x4 = 16 grams

Total of 164 grams ( 5.784936 oz)

Weighed all together 164 grams ( as a check for accuracy)

RX8 Rotor 9.3346lbs( 4243 grams)

I just can't see how you get 10 lb 9 oz rotor weight comparing these weights, even though the RX7 rotors are a tad heavier!

BTW Tracy's apex seals are 30 grams.
