That was
my thinking as well - more oil volume,
less
material = better cooling.

RX8 rotor
does in fact hold more oil than it's predecessors, as > one expects from
the Mazda blurb - between an old rotor( sorry don't > know what it
is) and the RX8 rotor, there is a 5.26 oz difference > Hi
George, so what is the volume, or better, the mass of the oil > carried
in the rotor for balance purposes? BR, Dave McC
I seems to me that since the RX-8 rotor is about the same external shape
and is lighter, that the added internal volume (less iron) would be larger,
so, more oil.
The thinner walls would cool better yes?
