I don't play an EE on tv, but I do play a troubleshooter in real life. One of the best pieces of advice came from the doctor on He Haw: 'If it hurts when you do that, Don't Do That!'

First, try undoing the stuff you changed. If that doesn't cure it, go over every place you had your hands, elbows, etc while making the changes looking for stuff that might be pulled loose.

We had multiple problems at work the other day; 5 or 6 systems developed problems & couldn't communicate in some functions but could in other functions. We checked a communications closet where a contractor had been working & found a single connector on a network bridge partially unplugged.

If it makes you feel any better, there were only 2 people in an organization numbering around 800,000 people that knew where that bridge box was located.

2nd thought:
Any chance you have completely lost compression? In the cars it's stuck seals but if it was flooded at any point there might  not be any oil on the apex seals. The standard fix on cars is transmission fluid in the spark plug holes. I think Lynn talks about hot coffee in the carb.(?) Anyway, the ATF will produce enough compression to allow the engine to fire off.
