Yes.  I was just thinking that it might be measurement error caused by
high velocity flow through the TB.  If the pressure drops when there is
absolutely no restriction, wouldn't that make it a non-issue?  Just
instrument error that could be ignored?

 
What are you calling a restriction?  I've run the engine with essentially nothing on the outside of the throttle body.  Since the engine is causing the motivating force for the airflow, I can't see it as a restriction.  The MAP ports are on the TB, so no other intake pipe factors into it as far as I can see.  Isn't my engine already acting as a blower (sucker)?
