Gentlemen,
Speaking for myself, I am all for the annual donation but . . . rather than ask Marv if he wants a donation why not decide what a reasonable annual donation would be for each of us and we will just send it to him. Wether he wants it or not he certainly deserves it.

The 'do not archive' business probably got started by guys who frequent the RV-list & other lists sponsored by Matt Dralle & Matronics. He has the feature in his list software so that deletion is automatic if the words are included anywhere in the post. His list is run not-for-profit, so he might be willing to share the code (he wrote it) if you are interested.
Thought #2: He accepts donations once a year to help cover the costs of hardware & bandwidth. Would you be willing to accept donations to help pay the bills?
