Hi George; I don't need that extra cooling, so I'd rather just fix the control valve issue. Also the way my system is built, all of my cabin air passes through the heater core, so the only way to get cool air is to close the heater control valve. It actually worked very well until the valve began to stick and I don't expect that once I find time to look at it, it will be difficult to fix. But finding the time is difficult.
Todd Bartrim (no rest for the wicked) Hi! If you used a flap system diverting the hot air outside you would still have that extra cooling. It would be beneficial if your cooling system was just coping.
