Bill, thanks for running with this.
I'd be in for a 2nd Gen (88) unit (prefer smaller Racing Beat pulley size). I also have a Renesis front cover & pulley I can loan for a few months if needed and would purchase one of those as well if they in the $250-$300 range. The 2nd gen engine is flying, the Renesis is a long way from being ready to run.

If you have a real AMP-sucker they can probably stack two. They are permanent magnet and don't need an excitation circuit. The regulator is NOT a shunt type. Who is really in? Anybody with a runner that would be interested in test?
