Mark, I talked to Racemate and they indicated that they would build crank pully alternator FOR THE ROTARY if there is enough interest. Perhaps we should get together and contact them. They are priced reasonably for a custom alternator about $250. I would love to BUY this alternative. We have so much to do I don't want to make my own light bulbs!

OK, now you've got my interest! A crank mounted alternator could make a
great backup power source. So, why can't we come up with a simple
method of mounting a PM alternator, or 55 amp ND, on the end of the
crankshaft? That shouldn't be too hard to do. (easy for me to say)
