The toyota prius uses a bladder in the tank and has no vent. I imagine a
few others may do the same.

There is a third option.
Seal the vent when not flying.
I would not recommend this for RV wing tanks.
Makes me wonder about cars. Aren't those tanks sealed, or at least sealed
to some pressure?
