We did a lot of work with Continental Motors to supply thier two-rotor Norton
rotary engine with a specialized version of our EFS-2. It was used on a
military drone aircraft, worked well, and had many characteristics similar to a
piston ported two stroke engine. We have had several of our units purchased by
folks experimenting with Mazda engines, but they always seem to run out of
money before they have a marketable product. The last was a partnership of two
men in Portland that had a promising conversion using our EFS-3, but it ended
about 8 years ago when one of them dived their RV-4 into the ground.
