airport
Hi
Paul,
I'm
extremely glad to hear that you didn't damage yourself, or your plane.
Sounds like you made some very good selections at the last minute, and
expertly handled the aircraft. Congrats!
Now, about
that engine, it's past time to tie that plane down, and run the snot out of
it. I'm sure the MicroTech controller is very nice, but it's only as
good as it's programming, and it sounds like yours needs some tuning.
Does the unit allow you to save and restore calibration data? If so, I
wonder if you can get someone with an RX-7 to send you a file to start
from.
Remember
when I said I'd come over there and put "the boot" on your plane until you got
that engine running right? I'm not (entirely)
kidding.
Be careful
out there.

Hi,
Rusty....not to worry....I have no intentions of flying it like it is.
Right now, I'd give anything for a carburetor and a mixture lever. I was
just reading that a 13b with Peripheral ports and a Weber 51 carb is supposed
to yield 300 horsepower. Would I have to learn how to program
that? I need to talk to Finn and George Graham....I believe they have
carburetors, and have not had any programming problems. Come to think of it,
they don't need to worry about how long their batteries can sustain their
electronic fuel injection systems. Simple is sounding rather nice right
about now. Know anyone with a Cessna looking for a canard? Getting
tired of experimenting. Much rather just go fly, even if it IS a
Cessna. Paul Conner
