I'm extremely
glad to hear that you didn't damage yourself, or your plane. Sounds like
you made some very good selections at the last minute, and expertly handled the
aircraft. Congrats!
Now, about
that engine, it's past time to tie that plane down, and run the snot out of
it. I'm sure the MicroTech controller is very nice, but it's only as good
as it's programming, and it sounds like yours needs some tuning. Does the
unit allow you to save and restore calibration data? If so, I wonder if
you can get someone with an RX-7 to send you a file to start from.
Remember when
I said I'd come over there and put "the boot" on your plane until you got that
engine running right? I'm not (entirely) kidding.
