Thanks, Paul.  I have the flex and damper plates, and plan to duplicate this setup.  In my case, I will leave the backside of the clutch material in place as a spacer so that the springs have some playroom.  If I remove the rivets that hold the front section of clutch material on, then I have ready made holes for 6 bolts.  Unfortunately, they aren't as far out  on the plate that Ross' appear to be.  I'll use the largest bolts that will fit, and may enlarge the rivet hole slightly to move up to the next size.

What do the bolts screw into?  Rivnuts? A backing plate?


The bolts screw directly into the existing holes on the automatic transmission flex plate. (which I used to think was a flywheel, until several helpful members of the Fly Rotary list helped to educate me).  Paul Conner
