'A' & 'B' - my oil metering pump covers that area - so I can't give
you details on which hole is which.
'C' - Crankcase breather - run a 1/2" ID hose to a catch can high on
your firewall. 1/2" ID slows the velocity of any mist and lets it
condense and run back
'D' - Mazda Oil temp /Pres. Sensor
'E' - Hot water to water heater
'F' - Not on my engine - I'm guessing Bruce added it as an oil return.
Take your oil pan off and look up there - if 'F' drains into the pan
then use if for an oil return.
'G' - Water jacket drain plug
'H' - no clue - don't have that one on my engine.
'K' - Oil level sensor (goes to ground when oil is low)
You've got the "oil out" and "oil in" correctly labeled (at least
that's how I've got them hooked up!!).

Subject: [FlyRotary] Questions
I would like some help with identifying the various openings on my
engine. This engine was built by Bruce Turrentine with his aviation
mods. I just want to make sure I know where to connect everything
up.
On hot-side-a, there are two plugs. Is 'B' where the oil metering
pump went? What is 'A'? The exhaust system was built by Jerry Hey.
I
will report sound level numbers as soon as I can get the engine
running.
On plug-side-1a, I'm pretty sure the 'WATER TEMP' sensor is the
famous
sensor sometimes incorrectly used for oil temp, but what about 'D'
and
'E'? (Note oil filter block has been removed.)
'C' appears to be a vent (for the oil?). What do I do with it?
Also on the back side near the flywheel, barely visible in this
photo,
there is a line that used to go to the water pump. I will either
have
EWP's or a mechanical pump on the side of the engine. Can this line
be
connected near the water filler cap?
On plug-side-2, I know where the Oil lines go, but do I have 'IN'
and
'OUT' identified correctly? Also, is the proper setup to connect
oil
out to oil filter to oil cooler to oil in?
Is 'F' where the oil return for the redrive goes?
What is 'G'? It's plugged off, so I probalby don't need to know but
I'm
curious.
Are 'H' and 'K' the Mazda oil temp and oil level sensors?
Thanks for any help,
Bob White
