Today I took the first step of starting the engine and stumbled right away.
Poured 3 qts of oil in and started cranking with the plugs off. Checked the
oil and it was down. Means that the oil pump primed right away.
Overall it took about 7 qts. The bad part is that I had the turbo oil feed
(original steel tube setup) disconnected and waiting for the oil to show up
- no luck? I attached a clear hose and tried to pull vacuum, but I can hear
the air whistling in the oil filler tube. I'm suspecting something wrong
with the oil pressure valve, but also want to hear from the experts.
