Rusty,
I would advise you to get some other
estimates on the heat pump. I have two in my house. Both went out a year
apart from each other. I got them replaced for about $1500/ea. installed. This
was from a small, one-man operation. That is for the compressor box that sits
outside only. If that’s all you need, you should be able to do better
than $10K.
