Paul - Yes, David had/has a heat shield under his intake manifold. I have a
bunch of pictures - just not with me at work.  The only two
semi-relevant pics I have on my laptop here are from his old setup. He
changed his engine installation last Spring/Summer and had the new
setup at Oshkosh.  The attached pics don't directly show his heat
shield - but you can see it through the manifold on one and it's in
the lower left on the other one.

If David isn't able to get pics of his new install to you I'll see if
I've got any at home from Osh-2004.

Thanx,

Hi, Kathy....glad to see you on this list....I wish to ask a
question you
may know, or possibly Dave can answer.  I purchased Dave's
ignition/fuel
system which included the MicroTech ECU, TWM throttlebody with
injectors,
short intake manifold, sensors, coils, etc, etc.  My question
is....With the
short manifold putting the TWM throttlebody over the top of the
exhaust, has
Dave had any problems with fuel dripping out of the throttlebody
after
engine shutdown?  Also, did he put any kind of heat barrier between
the
exhaust manifold and the throttlebody?  I am in the process of
installing
mine, and any helpful hints would be sincerely appreciated.  Lastly,
since I
have basically the same setup as Dave's, what size prop is he using,
and
what RPM's should I look for on static runup?  Sorry for the barrage
of
questions....any and all answered will be much appreciated.
sincerely,
