Oil is sprayed up into the inside of the rotors to cool them. It drains down by gravity, if if I interpret the channels correctly, the oil cannot drain out if you areplugs down.

I have to admit that I never looked at exactly how the oil gets out of the rotors.  Can anyone confirm this?
