If you really want to run the evaporator core as your oil cooler, why don’t you move the oil filter upstream of the cooler. That would reduce the pressure to the cooler, and also eliminate some downstream restriction.

Hi Rusty, I would be concerned also by the very small diameter tubes found in the evaporator cores. They are designed for gas, not for oil. I know first hand what difference makes hose diameter in oil transfer applications (I sell DC gear pumps).
Just something to think about?
