.....I think you
are really a closet fiberglasser, and afraid to admit
it.
Hey,
them's fightin' words :-)
For
the record, I've always admitted that I appreciate what you can do with
fiberglass, but the only way I could ever enjoy working with it is if I'm on a
race track, driving a Corvette :-)

Even
though I am just about finished building my second fiberglass airplane, (will
I ever learn) I have to admit that I do not enjoy sticky fingers, flying
dust from sanding, nor the subsequential itching afterwards. Anyone that
claims to enjoy it probably enjoys sleeping on a bed of nails and eats
lightbulbs for dinner as well. I like and enjoy the finished products made
possible by fiberglass, carbon fiber, etc, but I don't think anyone actually
ENJOYS working with the stuff. But then again, I read that there ARE torture
chambers in New York and such, where people pay a dominatrix etc. I'll
let you know when I get back from New York. Good luck with the
fiberglassing. One thing I have found is that I am using fiberglassing
for projects other than aviation. Once you learn a skill, you find you can use
it to repair lots of items, as well as make new items, unrelated to
aircraft. Take care, and please keep the flying reports coming.
After you are free from the 25 mile restriction, maybe you could fly over to
St Elmo (Mobile, AL) and I can buy you lunch, and compare rotary
installations, etc. Paul Conner
