Not knowing a darn thing about you fellows calculations, (of course that has never stopped me from sharing my conclusions and opinions before - <g>) I would quickly suggest you need to remember the 1.3 mazda is really a 2.6 pump; so, double them calcualtions and see if that doesn't put you more into the plain of reality readings.

The true intake of the 13B is 1.3 liters per revolution.  The true intake if a 4-stroke piston engine per revolution is only half of it's stated displacement.  In other words, a 5 liter engine would have 2.5 liters of intake per revolution.   People double the rotary engine displacement to make it even with the piston engine, because they have to turn twice to fire all the cylinders.  For the sake of this calculation, I don't think any correction is needed.
