There will be a kick off BBQ, Thursday night after the LOBO Ground school that will be included in your registration costs. This BBQ will be at the KRDM airport grounds beginning at 630pm, we will have access to the ramp where all the planes will be parked to look over the planes, enjoy some Lancair fellowship and have some good BBQ.

There have been requests to have an additional activity for the Fly-In, on Sunday, August 31, 2014 to fly over to McMinnville, Oregon and visit the Evergreen Museum, where the Spruce Goose is housed. The hours of the museum on that day are from 9:00am to 5:00pm and admission into the museum is $16.00 each adult and $14.00 for seniors. If we have over 30 people in the group we can enjoy lunch in a private eating area with a lunch served at an additional cost. The closest airport is McMinnville Municipal Airport KMMV which is right across the street from the museum. I would need to make reservations a couple of weeks in advance to get the group rate and to let the FBO at KMMV know how many planes will be flying in, so if you are interested in this side trip, please let me know.
