I have several friends who took their cats with them on many flights with no negative issues.

Put them in a carrier for the first few flights. Once they are comfortable with the environment you can let them out.

For very long flights take along a little kitty litter (the cats usual brand) and a small tray to hold it if you have the room in  your plane. The cat will seldom use the tray but is more likely to on flights over 4 hours.

All the cats involved went as high as 14,000  and lived normal lives with no hearing issues. One friend regularly flew his F35 (V tail for non beech aficionados) the FL - CO route non stop with no problems.

Just wanted to let the cat folks out there know they can easily take them along. Probably shouldn't do it if non cat folks are along as they will upset the cat..
