If there was some net yaw, it wouldn't have shown up anyway, since the rudder trim tab has terrific authority -- a tiny bit one way or the other would have cancelled out any effect from the tail not being perfect. As for the new tails, I sent a FAX to Lancair on Wednesday and got a call back Thursday morning from Linda N., with more or less the same explanation given to Marv by Orin. [Since I'm gone for most of the summer, I'm the one who's delayed 'til October.] Sounds like the new tail will be much improved -- let's hope.
