The center mechanism was fine. It had not turned. Actually, it can't change where the center is due to geometry in the strut. That being said, I noticed the roll pin at the bottom of the shaft where the U bracket of wheel attaches had sheered. It had turned just enough that you almost couldn't see the hole for the roll pin. That is where the strut had failed. I have pictures. I'll send them to Marv in a second.
