I am working on the rudder and the manual shows that the skin should be "marked" where the trim tab cut out is.  Well, mine is not marked.  I know from pictures I have taken over the years of other planes that it belongs in the first open "bay" above the "light bay", but I would like a dimension of the trim tab if someone could measure theirs.  I also would like to know the exact size and location of the "access panel" for the servo.  A file photo I have from Bob Pastusik shows he formed the "pocket" for the trim tab in the rudder before closing.  This looks much easier than following the manual sequence.  Any one else build it this way?

One other question;  what is the best side to install the access openings for the rudder hinge bolts?  Pictures I have accumulated over the years seem to find them on either side.  Also, any tricks to get full rudder deflection without the "slots" showing at the neutral position?  I plan to make access covers for the access side of the hinge, but wondering for the opposite side.  The workmanship looks so much better (to me anyway) if those slots aren't showing at the neutral rudder position.
