Bob:
Be happy to share what I learn. For example, from previous threads, I figured that the Motion 1600 tablet was about the optium; now I just found out that the "view anywhere " option is a problem if you wear sunglasses. Also size of the tablet appears to be a problem, at least for one user. I will forward a reply I received from Brian Burr on this issue.
From past threads, here is a list of what the folks on the list are using with WXWORX:
1. Fujitsu 4121 (large)
2. "Best" tablet PC (good daylight and dimable for night)
3. Toshiba M200 (big - not bright enough)
4. Toshiba 3505 (too large - hard to see in daylight---suggests Fujitsu ST 4121 with
indoor/outdoor display)
5. HP IPAQ 5555 (uses Airgator harness and Navair WX software. Also uses PC Avionics Mountain Scope Terrain ona a 512 MGB 5100 card.
6. Toshiba Pen Tablet
7. Motion 1600 tablet with anywhere option
If I find out anything new, I keep you posted. Regards, Bill H.
