There were over forty Lancairs in attendance along with every flying Legacy in the world, The 2 factory planes, Daryl Greenameyers race rocket and my new toy. I was able to fly in formation with the factory demo plane on Thursday so we could verify performances. My plane seemed to have about 1/2" of manifold pressure over the factory plane. There was therefore some speed differences between the planes but not much. On Sunday I raced in the Lancair 100 mile race with a co-pilot, just for the records I weigh 235# and my co pilot weighs about 250#. There were about 18 planes in the race so I started in the #7 take-off position behind all the IV's. We had a great time in the race and we were able to pass one or two IV on the way to the finish. When the results were announced I nearly fell off my chair. My plane went around the course at 314 MPH, faster than all the piston driven IV's. Brent Regan was the fastest IV at 304 MPH. So all you Legacy builders please come next year and we will all try to out run the IV's. The gauntlet has been tossed. All in fun!!! Let's race, Rick Schrameck N975RA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
