Do you think it necessary to enter the wing for reinforcement since the problem is solely at the tip of the rear spar where the metal doubler plate has broken off? I was thinking of installing a 1/8 in.SS plate running the length of the exposed spar and attaching the doubler plate for the rear spar bolt directly to this plate. I was also thinking of bolting a second plate opposite the SS plate to distribute the load. Would this be sufficient in your opinion? Appreciate the help. thanks, Bill Hogarty P.S.
