My question is in regards to the LASAR system.

Can this be used on one set of plugs in combination with a single mag?

Am I better off using the Light Speed ignition and one mag?

I would be interested in hearing from someone that has the set up or something similar

or anyone that has an opinion on the subject.

The LASAR system is comlpletly electronic unless there is a failure - then the system reverts to the normal 2 magnetos.  How simple.

 

You will have to determine whether 1 plug running electronic with advance is "effective" for your desired operation (with a delayed flame front from the mag) and whether one mag is the appropriate backup.
