Last weekend the upper wing skin of a 235/320 as bonded to the main spar, I
noticed that after all the settle one of the wing skin did not stay on the
cradle somehow the trailing edge is now at 6 degrees "down" instead of aligned
with the cradle to give a 1 degree up for the desired washout. the aircraft is
inverted in order to build the wings.
At this point the spar and nose ribs are bonded to the skin, there are
no wing ribs or anything else has being installed yet. The question is what is
the best way to get the wing skin to conform with the cradle, it takes about 15
to 20 lbs. of weight on the trailing edge to bring the wing skin to conform with
the wing cradle, is it safe enough to heat up the wing skin and spar to move it
a little bit?.
