He'd fire up a little motorized glider = early in the morning to get some altitude, then shut off the motor and = soar with the birds for hours, taking notes and shooting video. As I = recall he had a gunsight type camera mount, so it was a little like = playing the red baron. There were several nice articles describing his = work in the Journal of Experimental Biology. The best part is that he got to call it work, and even got paid for = it! For Monsieur Noireaux, your T-6 was probably just too big and loud = and ugly, and the birds didn't wan't to play with you.
