My daughter and I were forced down in Jackson Hole by T-storms and found that
1) The FBO people were very nice and accomodating. Price for fuel etc was high. They
tied down and showed as much concern for our 182 as the gulfstream IVs.
2) You can eat in the terminal next door.
3) There is no place to stay in summer without a reservation. They thought it was  funny when I asked. The pilot lounge would be comfortable enough in an emergency.
4) I wished I had taken a picture of our 1957 182 parked in front of the row of
gulfstreams and citations that were parked wing to wing down the ramp to the horizon.
5) It is in a "hole". Mountains are especially high and dramatic to the west.
We got out in the evening and went to Casper Wyoming (I think) where the FBO had
special fuel prices for Oshkosk and a local freeway motel came and picked us up.
The Airforce keeps the UFO's in the old barracks on the field (according to the shuttle driver).
Maybe if you can find the "right" part you can beat Larry. :)

If you want to see the view from the ground, stop for lunch.
