Fellow LNC2 Listers:
I have managed to set all my hydraulic cylinder up stops and
have enjoyed watching the gear retract and pull all the doors up snug
and tight. Now I'm faced with replacing the heavy springs on the inboard
and nose gear door cylinders. Can anyone suggest a method for
compressing the springs to allow the end fittings to be screwed back in
place? I'd like to be able to do this without removing the cylinders.
Suggestions anyone?
Discovered my hydraulic pump reservoir was cracked. Also
discovered the local Parker distributor had a new reservoir in stock.
The latest version attaches to the pump with four screws through the
tabs on the pump casting, no longer has the bolt going up through the
bottom. The biggest surprise was that the new one cost only $13,
including state tax! I still can't believe that.
