Lancairians headed to Redmond from east of the Rockies and taking the northern route:
Lee,
Lucky you - starting out so much further west than me (remember the reverse at Burke Lakefront). My plan is to leave Thursday, overnight at either Bozeman or Jackson Hole (both about 5 hours flight from Chicago). Followed on Friday morning with the last 2 or 2.5 hours thru the Idaho valley (Boise) and thence to RDM to avoid any moutain turbulence. I'll save you a parking space. All plans subject to weather just outside the cockpit at any given moment. I will be taking gas (O2), an umbrella, some mylar space blankets and a laser guided weapon.
I hope the President goes East for that weekend - Dagnabit, I hate those pop-up TFRs.

PS I don't do no stinking mountains in the afternoon or night.
