I have the side panel closeouts in place and sealed with RTV but I have been reluctant to start on fitting the seat bottom because I cant figure out a simple way to do it. Any and all help would certainly be appreciated. Regards, billhogarty@aol.com [Bill, the easiest thing to do is to cut a pair of cardboard patterns, one for each half of the panel, scribe each one to its respective side-wall individually, then combine the two to make your final panel. Start with a pair of panels that are as deep (front to back) as your finished part, but about 2/3 the width. Align the front edge of one to the front edge of the gear-box and let it contact the side wall. Take a drafting compass and set the distance between the pencil tip and the axis equal to the widest gap at the side of the panel, then scribe the wall using the compass to transfer the shape to your seat bottom pattern (be sure to hold the compass parallel to the front edge of the pattern.) Cut along the line to duplicate the shape of the side wall... then do the same thing with the other pattern. When you've managed to duplicate the side-wall shapes onto your patterns, set them in place and tape them together. Trace your pattern onto your pre-preg sheet and cut to match. You should wind up with a perfect match. Posterboard works great for patterns like this... I've used this process for many years fitting cabinets and counter tops into impossible places. I hope this answers your question. ] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
