Dave, Ed, et al:  I truly wonder if such a paper defense would work when, as in the most frequent case, the pilot of the crashing aircraft would also be the builder-of-record of that aircraft.  Seems like a builder/pilot would stand little chance of escaping liability.   Greg Nelson
