An interesting idea.  Having started the Pyrex idea, and given it up, I'll
mention what I'm now planning on building over the holidays.  I got a section
of acrylic tubing and a section of clear PVC pipe from Aircraft Spruce,
advertised as appropriate for gasoline.  I have a pair of AN842-4 Hose
Elbows.  These are 90 degree elbows, 1/8 NPT on one side and a hose barb on
the other.  The tubing (not sure which kind, yet) gets tapped and the
fittings glued in with Hysol for strength and for sealing.  The hose barb
sticks thru the panel and the Tygon tubing fits up against the back side and
hose clamped to the fitting.  Will probably have a grommet thru the panel.
Push the fitting thru the grommet and stick the tubing on the protruding end.

My panel will have a teak veneer.  The fittings are brass.  (Should look
classy, eh?) The back side (outside) of the tubing may be painted white and
the threaded portion of the tubing may or may not be painted black.  I plan
on proof pressure testing this to some reasonable value, like 30 psi, with a
bicycle pump.

Most of this idea was swiped from two other guys on this forum.  I'm sorry
but I did not record their names.  I'll plan on taking a photo and sending it
to Marv.
