We then yell for help on the radio, but keying the mike makes the static charge disappear. Then, once everyone on the frequency is listening for the sounds of our imminent demise, we can then say "Oh, never mind..." Sorry, Walter, I probably shouldn't joke about this. Someday I'll take my IFR ticket and actually go where there's real weather instead of just a marine layer. Actually, the variety of flying experiences of all you guys is truly amazing.
