Hi -
Just scanning the LML letters as I do every so often. Lots of talk about
tygon tubing and Pyrex glass tubes for making a sight gauge.
I can see plenty of reasons not to recommend either, but perhaps the best
solution would be to recommend both.
Can't say I'm building yet (Legacy on order) but would anyone like to
comment on having a regular fuel line (opaque) with an inline glass tube
large enough to eliminate any fuel flow problems and long enough to see
what you want to then overlay that tube with clear tygon tubing.
Glass tube goes into rubber hose and rubber hose goes into clear tygon
tubing with hose clamps at each end.
Now you’ve eliminated the fuel contamination problem with glass and the
tygon overlay takes care of the “what if it breaks” problem. Can the broken
glass puncture the glass tube, sure .......... but you can also have a wing
fall off.
Comments ?
