You guys that paint your own airplanes amaze me!  I have tremendous respect for anyone who can do this and get good results.  As I've said before, I have a hard time with just a can of Krylon.

My question is this -- for those of you who have never used a spray gun before, and are happy with your results, how did you develop the skills needed to do a good job?  How much practice did you need?  Did you have someone skilled at this show you what to do?  What's your secret?
