You know, I'm less concerned about the replacement value of my airplane than the matter of who provides for the family of the poor Lancair dude (or ex-Lancair dude, in Mike DeHate's case) in the event that one of our machines doesn't finish it's initial flight in a happy manner. I'd feel bad if my creation was destroyed, sure, but nowhere near as bad as if one of the guys that had helped me along for several years were killed in the process. I fully intend to avail myself of this service that is provided by the Lancair company. Frankly, I'm somewhat amazed that they even do this at all, though I'm convinced it's a good forward-looking idea that has helped prevent accidents (though I have no firsthand knowledge of specific examples), and is yet another reason why I'm glad I bought a Lancair. It would be a real shame, though, for one of these guys to leave his family hanging out fi nancially, regardless of the cause of the accident. Are those of us that make use of this service financially liable? Is there an insurance policy in place for this, either one that we buy or one that Lancair provides (and presumably factors into the cost of providing this service)? - Rob Wolf >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
