It may be possible to fit a pressure boot from the L-IV-P over the
control rod to the flaps to seal the hole. Since the 320 is not
pressurized, there would be no need to fool with equalization.
The boot is a flexible rubber item which secures to the rod with a tie
wrap and to the fuse with a ring and a few screws or bolts (depending on
detail). It should have no significant effect on flap motion and would
effectively plug the hole. It should also be cheap.
