Sight Guage comments by Rob Wolf.  Yeah, I was concerned about fuel lines
in the cockpit area and reducing the number of connections. I have used
Polyurathane Tbg from Spruce for eight years and have had no leaks or
embrittlement as with tygon or others.  I wrap the urathane tbg with
electrical tape any where it could chafe, and support it often, never with
wiring or other Al Tbg Lines.  The day tank has 1/4" Al Tbg outlets top
and btm.  The btm outlet is flared for a compression fitting with a 1/4"
Al Tbg extension to an 1/8" ball valve just back of the instrument panel,
( where it's easily reached) then with the electrical taped urathane tbg
thru the panel and up and teeded into the overflow line at the top of the
day tank.  I have replaced the lines twice, once after one year, again
after three years and will do so after 4 years and will advise if any
problems. Neither of two times did the lines show any problems.  I used a
small hose clamp at each Al Tbg to Polyurathane connection with a small
clamping force.  By the way, the ball valve is a safety
measure and not really needed in retrospect.. Hope this helps..
