I can assume it was too heavy, too expensive and/or didn't work well. << The embedded mesh was part of a rather extensive system of making a fiberglass airplane conductive which included other tidbits like wire leads to give the electricity a path to follow other than through hinge bearings which could weld frozen in a lightning strike. It was a NASA funded project that S-H got. It actually worked very well. S-H did offer it as an option on the Glasair III, but sold exactly zero. Reason: $30K option that did not make the plane go faster or carry more or save fuel. The perceived need by the homebuilder market was obviously below that dollar threshold! - Doug Dodson Glasair II-S FT Flight Test Engineer, CFI-A,G Baby Dragon IF1 Race Team >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
