Orin's comment on his TurboSkylane RG running lean of peak. This is the stuff that ends up in OWT (old wives tails). What engine does he have on his TurboSkylane RG ? Does it have very good fuel distribution ? How many degrees lean of peak did he ran his engine ? Could he have leaned further without roughness ? The fact the TSIO-550 runs at even higher temps is higher potential for the benefits of lean of peak operation. The critical factor is running agressivelly lean of peak, let's say 100 or more degrees lop rather than 50 degrees. If you can run it 100+ degrees lean of peak you'd be getting the equivalent to full rich for lower temps. Again, I don't have a TSIO-550 myself, but I what I'm trying to note is that we're going with generic recommendations that only have true merit on the original airplane with that powerplant without GAMIjectors. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html LML Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
