Jim Cameron -
Thanks for the info on Poly Fiber, which I plan to use. When I spoke with Jon Goldenbaum at Oshkosh, he told me about a new product which goes on before the Smooth Prime. I forgot what it's called, but Poly Fiber makes it and their new version of their users manual (which looks EXACTLY like their old version) discusses this product. Their web site makes no mention of it.
Jon told me that this new stuff "seals the bottom of the pinholes" so that the Smooth Prime can do its job better. Might be easier than squeegeeing Superfil. He also said to use peel ply over this new primer (one coat, use minimum weight peel ply, put the stuff on and cover with peel ply, then squeegee it in, pull off the peel ply when cured, roll Smooth Prime over that WITHOUT SANDING FIRST except at any rough spots).
